Hi, I’m Raenen — a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, licensed Functional Nutrition Counselor, and personal trainer. I help people reconnect with their bodies and feel good through food and movement that works for them.
But my path to this work wasn’t simple or straight.
For years, I felt sick, fatigued, and discouraged about my health. In and out of doctors’ offices, and on new antibiotics every other week — I felt stuck in a never-ending cycle of being told I was “otherwise healthy.” The traditional system had no answers, just vague reassurance and little support.

So I took a different route.
I began learning everything I could about the body, nutrition, and healing. I studied holistic health and functional nutrition, diving deep into how food affects energy, digestion, mood, and long-term vitality. What I discovered was that true wellness starts at the root — not just managing symptoms, but understanding the why behind them.
Now, I use that knowledge and lived experience to help others feel their best from the inside out. I believe nourishment should be accessible, empowering, and realistic. I believe food can be powerful — not in a restrictive, “clean eating” way, but in a foundational, healing, deeply personal way. And I believe you deserve to feel good — not just “not sick,” but energized, balanced, and supported.
At Rootdown Raenen, I offer two paths:
- Weekly meal plan subscriptions: Simple, tasty meals I’m eating that week — built to nourish busy people who want structure without stress.
- 1-on-1 personalized plans: Custom support for individuals navigating chronic symptoms, fitness goals, dietary restrictions, or emotional eating — with meal plans, education, and guidance tailored just for you.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about helping you build something sustainable, rooted, and nourishing — starting on your plate.
